Help Phillip raise money for PHFS!
"The two biggest influences on my life for the past year and half have been PHFS and a commitment to fitness. Both have been challenging, rewarding, and evolving experiences. After spending the first half of 2016 training for and finishing a 50k trail run I needed a new goal that didn't involve hours on the treadmill or running through the rainy Fall and Winter. My idea was to start training for my first ever power lifting competition. After the tumultuous election season I also wanted to find a new way to support PHFS and the work they do uniting the Portland community. So I thought I would combine these two influences in an effort to push myself and support PHFS with their mission.
The power lifting meet is on January 21st, and my goal is to lift a combined 1,160 pounds through the three lifts of the competition--bench press, back squat, and dead lift. Please consider saving a few bucks during this holiday season to support an organization that has been such a big influence on my life, and continues to challenge me in new ways. A contribution of $50 is less than 5 cents per pound that I'm going to lift."
