In-kind donations help provide our families with everything they need to stay healthy and happy while they are guests at our shelters, and assist them in the process of overcoming barriers and securing permanent housing. They’re a crucial part of our support system and we couldn’t support our families without them. PHFS is happy to accept the following new and unused items (see here for a printable wish list):

Housewarming baskets

Many community nonprofits help families fill their new homes with items such as furniture and food, but there are some items that these programs do not provide. PHFS wants to fill that gap and provide families with all the supplies needed to start their new home. 

Please help us by donating the following items so we can give each family a housewarming basket when they move into their new homes.

we do not accept the following items

  • Stuffed animals or used toys
  • Shoes of any kind
  • Off-season clothing
  • Perishable food
  • Cribs, mattresses, or any other furniture (please visit our friends at the Community Warehouse for furniture/household donations)

The donation bin is located in the Goose Hollow Family Shelter
(inside the First United Methodist Church).
